Upcoming Concerts from spring through summer

From the country music blasting from the stadium on a sunny day to the rap artist creating a melody in front of thousands of people, a concert is an exhilarating place to spend these next few months. It is that time of year again, and there is no better way to celebrate spring and summer than listening to widely-known artists live in person. From late March until July, surrounding cities are packed with artists waiting to perform their latest hits, so grab your dancing shoes and head over to the nearest concert!

To kick off spring, Miley Cyrus will be headlining her Bangerz tour at Philips Arena on March 25th. Not only is this one of her last stops, but it is sure to be one of the most memorable. Known for her obscene gestures and risqué dance moves on stage, being in Atlanta, Georgia, will not change her mantra. She is sure to sing certain songs such as “Wrecking Ball,” “Adore You,” and most likely, “23.” Since her latest album is titled with the same name as her tour, she is definitely going to sing most of the songs from the album that has sky-rocketed her music career.

Next in line, country singer Brantley Gilbert will be at the Macon Centreplex Coliseum on April 17th for his Let It Ride tour. Other artists such as Thomas Rhett and Eric Paslay will be joining him on that night. Gilbert is known for many songs, his latest being “Bottoms Up.” Gilbert is also a native Georgia boy, who eventually moved to Nashville to become a songwriter. Rhett and Paslay are sure to hold a great show alongside Gilbert, as well. Since Rhett and Paslay are somewhat new to the music scene, one can expect Rhett to perform his hit songs “It Goes Like This” and “Get Me Some of That.” Also, Paslay will perform his number one hit, “Friday Night.”

On May 6th, Lady Gaga will take Miley’s place and host Philips Arena for her own tour. She has titled this one the ARTPOP Ball, and it definitely will be a night one will not forget. Unlike a country concert, Gaga will headline this tour inside and will surely be wearing another shocking outfit. Gaga is known for her eccentric attitude and incredible voice. Since the release of her new album, Gaga will sing songs specifically from that disc as well as some of her hit songs.concertsEH

In the middle of May, another country artist will be making his way through Atlanta to headline Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood. This artist is none other than Jason Aldean on his Burn It Down tour. Originally, Aldean was scheduled to be in Atlanta on May 17th for one concert, but since that date sold out so quickly, he added May 15th and 16th to his schedule as well. Concertgoers can expect Aldean to play his hit songs, “Night Train,” “When She Says Baby,” and of course, “Dirt Road Anthem.” He will be playing with well-known artists Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. This concert is highly sought after and should be one of the best country mash ups in a long while.

For those who like music other than pop and country, a few artists will be touring through Atlanta in the next couple of months as well. For example, Neon Trees will be at The Tabernacle on May 23rd, followed by Dave Matthews Band at Aaron’s Amphitheatre on May 24th, and Journey at Aaron’s Amphitheatre on the 30th. Although these concerts may not be as close as Philips Arena, they do offer more variety than the upcoming concerts mentioned above.

To begin summer, Jack Johnson will be in Atlanta at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on June 3rd and is sure to be a hit. Johnson would be the perfect concert to go to at the beginning of summer because his relaxing tunes will have everyone feeling as if they are at the beach, rather than in Georgia. Then, Brad Paisley arrives in Atlanta at Aaron’s Amphitheatre on June 22nd and is accompanied by Randy Houser, Leah Turner, and Charlie Worsham. With all of these people on tour, this is one country concert that should not be missed. After this, Katy Perry will be at Philips Arena on June 28th, and Capital Cities will join her. This duo should make for one powerful night.

Throughout July, many artists will be touring through Georgia. Tim McGraw and Cassadee Pope will be at Aaron’s on July 7th, and Lionel Richie and CeeLo Green will be at Chastain Park Amphitheatre on the same day. Also, Vans Warped Tour will be taking place at Aaron’s and will feature numerous bands of different styles of music. Then, to wrap up July, Luke Bryan, Lee Brice and Cole Swindell will sweep up the night at Aaron’s Amphitheatre on July 26th. Luke Bryan is known for his explosive concerts, and with two other country stars joining him, this night will not be any different.lukebryanEH

With all of these concerts going on throughout the next few months, it would be a shame if one did not try to make it to at least one of them. Take a chance and see an artist whose music is different from what one normally listens to. You may be surprised at how much you like them. Besides, there are many concerts to be seen throughout spring and summer, so grab some friends and make a night that everyone will want to remember forever.
