Standing Up For What You Read

There is one class that all Woodstock students have in common: literature. All students are required to take four years of some form of literature or another to graduate.  However, literature is not always fifty minutes of looking deeply into symbols or plot; it is a world of fantastic stories of brave warriors, beautiful princesses, and ferocious, ghastly monsters.  Fiction is an escape to a world where teens, children, and adults alike can ignore their problems and shortcomings and be the hero that everybody has inside of them.  Most well-read students have that one author who they hold partial, that one man or woman who just did it better than the rest.  These students spoke up to support their favorite authors.
