Veterans Day Celebration

Woodstock’s Special Ceremony

Staff Writer: Lola Canales

We have many special ceremonies are held at Woodstock High, but one of the recent ceremonies was the Veteran’s Day ceremony. It was held in our school’s gymnasium, an hour long service that was broadcast throughout the school for the freshman class, while the sophomore, junior and senior classes attended the ceremony.

The ceremony also allowed visitors and retired veterans and their families to join. Our school’s ROTC program and band preformed at the ceremony. Macy, a junior here at Woodstock High, says, “The band and the ROTC were both perfect in timing and preformance.”

The ceremony was “spectacular,” and “couldn’t have been done better,” according to Mrs. Simpson, who attended the ceremony, and is the wife of a retired veteran. Her family and friends that also viewed the ceremony shared the same thoughts.
