An Amazing Achievement for WHS Chorus

Section  writer:  Daniela Salame

There are so many talented people in our high school, and on December 8th, the school chorus had their time to shine. The varsity chorus was presented an award by Cecil Wilder, executive director of the Georgia’s Music Educators Association. Brett Dougherty, the older brother of one of the members, had the chance to experience their performance and quoted, “The Varsity Chorus put on a stellar performance.” Also, as a member of the audience, I got together with Coach Sebring and was able to get some more information. “It was a great opportunity for these musically talented students to show their talent. It was standing room only and they had a crowd to watch them.” The chorus has been preparing for this moment for long time.  “We practiced all day at school, and to be even better, we practiced during  the nighttime, too.” Chorus member Sheridan Bass commented. Their next performance will be just as great, and  you shouldn’t miss it this time around!
