College Visits

College Visits

This break a lot of seniors and also juniors went on visits to colleges.  Some went as close as Kennesaw State University and as far as auburn.

Its getting closer to graduation so seniors should have already been on their visits but some had to do some now just so they know where exactly they want to go. “College visits are a very important thing to do before you go to college.” Said Grant Jacobs.

A key part of deciding which college to go to is finding a good fit. And a great way to get more information is to visit the colleges in person. Of course, visiting colleges may not be possible for everyone, but it’s a good idea to make the trips, if you can. It can help you determine whether a college is the right place for you.

A campus visit is your opportunity to get a firsthand view of a college. A college brochure or website can only show you so much. To really get a feel for the college, you need to walk around the campus, visit in on a class and visit the dorms.

Keep in mind that while you may not be able to visit all of the schools you are interested in, you can certainly look for virtual tours, videos, and blogs that provide more information about the campus and the location. Don’t pass up the opportunity to visit a college close to you. Even though it may not be your first choice, you can tell from the visit if you like the size of the school and the amount of people there.

Josh Roberson said” I always thought I wanted to go to Kennesaw State, but then I went and visited Georgia College and State University and I fell in love.” That’s what happens to a lot of people these days. They think they are completely set on going one place, but end up loving a different one.
