Volleyball Fun!

Everybody loves high school sports, especially sports with a greater cause behind them.  Woodstock High is having a volleyball tournament in order to raise money for the volleyball team.

The entire tournament is run completely by student volleyball players. Only seniors on they volleyball team can participate in the tournament, they want to enjoy all the time they have left at Woodstock High playing for their team! Everyone is welcome, anyone from any school can come  watch, or even participate! While, the underclassmen run the stands and keep the event organized. The volleyball coach at Woodstock high, Coach Dodd, says, “I’m not running anything. I want the players to learn to be independent and run this event all on their own.”

The fun behind the tournament is building your own special team of you and your friends to go dominate the court! The sign up process is super simple. All  you need to do is go to Woodstockvolleyball.com or go across the school and grab a flyer from outside the gym office doors.

The event is at the Woodstock High School,  and it’s on Saturday, May 6th. The tournament will last from early morning, to about 5 or 6 in the evening.

Abby Brams and Nyla Shepard are two freshman girls helping run the event, they both play for the Woodstock Volleyball team also.  When asked about her feelings toward the event, Nyla said, “I think this will be very fun for family and friends to go to.”  She also said, “Planning the event and running it was time consuming but I believe it’s all worth it at the end of the day.”  Abby Brams added, “Yeah, I think this will be a lot of fun for everyone who attends.”
