Senior..McKenzie Keeton

Staff Writer: McKenzie Keeton

I am McKenzie Keeton, a senior at Woodstock high school and for college I am attending Kennesaw State University. I planned on playing volleyball in college, but after this year I decided I want to be a nurse at KSU.

My favorite memory of high school was definitely beating Etowah my sophomore year in volleyball to get into the state playoffs. That was the day after our football team beat Etowah in overtime.

Volleyball is has been my life for eight years and to be honest it got me through most of high school.  My favorite article that I wrote in journalism was the one about senioritis, because it was so true at that time and I wrote that article two hours before it was due. Also, in the class I loved listening to Coach Wallace talk about the old ghetto schools he used to work at.

I never thought since I was little that I was actually going to graduate high school. It is a very crazy thing, but I’m so excited for the next four years of college with all the new people I’m going to meet. My life is about to change a lot and I can’t wait for the future.

I’m sad about my friends leaving, but I know we will all keep in touch. I won’t see them every day anymore and I think that’s what I’m going to miss the most about high school. It’s all changing, but I’m ready for it.
