This anime is about how all of human kind once lived under the sea, until one day some people decided they preferred to live on land over the ocean, and by doing so they lost their “ena” which let them breathe under water.

even if you don’t particularly like anime, this very well-done animation and backgrounds should be enough to convince you to watch it.

A reviewer by the name of HaXXspetten said this about it “if there was one thing I didn’t expect coming into this, it’d be that it turned out to be the most beautiful anime TV-series I’ve seen aired since 2011.” This anime is both dubbed and subbed.

If you want more of a lighter tone, and would like to watch a comedy, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu is in the one for you, in English it’s called Baka and Test: summon the beast.

This anime was hilarious when I first watched it and made me burst out laughing until my stomach hurt. The story is about Akihisa Yoshii. His academy rigidly divides up the student body into classes based on the results of tests.

The prodigies are in the A class with reclining seats complete with air conditioning, but Akihisa is in F class, the lowest rank of the school ladder which is furnished only with low, decrepit tables and worn-out straw tatami mats.

The story follows are protagonist and his fellow classmates as they try to climb up the social ladder, by summoning small versions of themselves that compete in academic battles. A reviewer off Myanimelist.com says this about the anime, “Baka to Test is the kind of comedy where the characters themselves, and not necessarily the situation around them, is what makes you laugh.” So, if you like good characters in a show, this one is for you. This show is both dubbed and subbed.

The 4th anime on the list is Assassination Classroom or also known as Ansastu Kyoushitsu. The anime starts off with a mysterious creature who destroys the moon. The students of class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Middle School find themselves confronted with an enormous task: assassinate the creature responsible for the disaster before Earth suffers a similar fate.

However, this won’t be an easy task as the monster they’re up against is very powerful, he is able to fly at speeds of up to Mach 20, which he demonstrates freely, leaving any attempt to subdue impossible. Furthermore, the misfits of 3-E soon find that the strange, tentacled beast is more than just indomitable—he is the best teacher they ever had!

This anime is a very comedic and if you didn’t like Baka and Test you will definitely like this one. This anime has a bunch of touching moments and you will enjoy watching it. A reviewer by the name of PyraXadon had this to say about the anime “I think this anime was a great adaptation of the AssClass manga. There were no shortcuts aside from the student chapters, and everything was told just how it was without any unnecessary changes.” So, if you’ve read the manga prior you’re sure to love the anime. This anime is both subbed and dubbed.

If you want a darker or more mysterious tone you can watch Mirai Nikki Or Future Dairy. This anime is about yukiteru Amano, and how he is dragged into a battle royal type of setting. The winner of this battle royal gets to become the god of that universe, as the old one is dying and needs a replacement. The competitors each have a phone that allows them to see the future each. Each phone is stylized to each person.

This anime is a fun ride all the way through and you’ll definitely be surprised with all the plot twists it has. Fate25 from Myanimelist.com said this about the anime, “unlike most thrillers the story is extremely good, the characters are all very unique, each with deep, well developed personalities that are slowly revealed to the viewer as they watch more and more episodes of the series.” This anime is dubbed and subbed.
